The DSO-2102M-USB Digital Storage Oscilloscope connects to desktop and laptop PCs by way of the USB port. This not only makes the system ideal for portable applications where ISA or PCI bus slots are unavailable, but also for use in labs where the equipment must be frequently moved from one PC to another.

Each of the two channels can operate at up to 100 million samples per second with a 32K sample buffer. A built-in spectrum analyzer adds to the functionality and versatility of this instrument.

DC to 50MHz Spectrum Analyzer

The DSO-2102M also delivers high accuracy spectrum analysis. A binary FFT algorithm is used to break the input signal down into its spectral components. Unlike swept spectrum analyzers which require a stable repetitive signal due to filter settling time, the DSO-2102M can also analyze transient event spectra. Both the frequency-domain signal spectrum and its time-domain oscilloscope display can be viewed and controlled simultaneously.

Simple Operation

Installation is easy with the system being set up and measurements being made within minutes. The DSO-2102 connects to the computer via the USB port and so installation just involves plugging it in and installing the supplied software.

The straightforward controls make operation intuitive. All functions are controlled from one simple software "panel".  Plus, defaults can be set to match personal preferences.

Automatic Data Storage

Superior to most stand-alone instruments, the DSO-2102 will store an unlimited number of waveforms, timing patterns and spectra to floppy drive, hard disk or PCMCIA card. This data may then be later recalled to the screen for visual comparison to live data.

Software

The DSO-2102MUSB is supplied with software for Windows 95/98/2000/XP, including FrontPanel™. Optional DLL and LabView driver libraries are also available.
