Fluke Networks DSP-4000 Cable Analyzer Series for several years has occupied the top level in the industry of cabling certification tools. The testers in this series provide accurate testing of Cat 5e and Cat 6 twisted-pair cabling as well as loss testing of fiber optic cabling. A newer series of cable certification testers, the DTX Series is now available from Fluke Networks.

The DSP-4000 Series is based on an exclusive digital signal processing test platform that provides a complete and accurate solution for certifying, documenting and troubleshooting twisted-pair copper cabling links from Cat 3 through Cat 6. Three sets of fiber optic test adapters can be combined with any of the DSP4000 Series testers to provide automatic optical loss testing for horizontal or backbone fiber cabling. And like all Fluke Networks instruments, the DSP-4000 series products are built rugged to withstand drops and other mishaps that occur in today's network installation environments.

The DSP-LIA101S Permanent Link Interface Adapter moves the baseline accuracy of Fluke Networks' DSP-4000 Series CableAnalyzers^TM to the very end of the test adapter, delivering exceptional test results and standards compliance for field testing of twisted-pair cabling installations.

Armed with your tester and the right Fiber Test Adapter, you have the tools to properly test all types of fiber. These compact adapters add automated dual-fiber, dual-wavelength test and certification capability to the DSP-4000 / 4100, quickly transforming it into a full-featured optical fiber tester.

If you own a DSP-4000, you can upgrade to a DSP-4100 with the DSP-4100E Upgrade Kit. The kit contains instructions for contacting Fluke Networks to schedule your upgrade with an authorized Fluke Networks Service Center. A technician will upgrade your DSP-4000 main and remote units and return them with a removable 16-MB memory card, PC card reader, Fluke Networks' CableManager™ Software, version 4.0 and a user's manual.

DSP Fiber Test Adapter

Complete solution for testing and certifying high-speed Fiber Networks

Fluke Networks offers the most complete line of Fiber Test Adapters for testing and certifying Singlemode, Gigabit and Multimode fiber optic cabling systems.  These Fiber Test Adapters are high-performance, high-productivity fiber test options for the DSP-4000 and DSP-4100 Digital CableAnalyzers. 

    The DSP Fiber Test Adapters can:

• Test two fibers and two wavelengths simultaneously and automatically save the results.
• Perform bi-directional testing on both fibers-under-test and save results in one record.

Small Form Factor (SFF) Accessory Kits

        Fluke Networks' new SFF Accessory Kits allow you to test fiber links containing SFF connectors (including MT-RJ, VF-45, and LC), and FiberJack connectors, quickly and accurately. Used with the DSP-4000 and the DSP-FTA410S Fiber Test Adapter, the SFF testing provides loss results that conform to ANSI/TIA/EIA-526-14A, Method B when used with the additional test jumper included with the Fiber Test Adapter. This procedure provides improved test results by including loss of the fiber PLUS the connectors at BOTH ends.

Easy Upgrade to a DSP-4100

If you own a DSP-4000, you can upgrade to the DSP-4100 with the DSP-4100E Upgrade Kit. Cat 6 Link Adapters

These optional adapters allow you to tailor your DSP-4000 for each installation and deliver unequaled link test accuracy. In the future, when a Cat 6 connector becomes industry standard, Fluke Networks will offer a standard Cat 6 Link Adapter for the DSP-4000 which will allow the testing of all Cat 6 links.
